Overview: There is no formally agreed upon measure to define what is an 'advanced' or 'developed' economy, and what is still 'developing'. The UN approximates this divide by looking at the Human Development Index (HDI) and includes countries with a HDI over 0.9. The IMF focuses more on economic performance, and defines Other Advanced Economies not included in the G7 or Eurozone as Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Israel.
