Overview: Economic growth in Asia over the last few decades has been momentous, changing the global balance of power and lifting tens of millions out of poverty. Newly Industrialized Asian Economies is a group that excludes Japan, which industrialized in the last century, but includes the two awakening giants of China and India, and the Tiger economies such as Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
