About History of Td Bank Canada Trust

The Canada Trust (CT) was initially an autonomous company, purchased by the TD Bank in 2000. After this incorporation, the Toronto-Dominion Bank’s new brand name became the TD Bank Financial Group. The CT was then merged with TD's existing wholesale division to form the TD Canada Trust division.

Most banks around the world are known to have specific work timings during which customers can visit. What makes the TD Bank Canada Trust stand out is that it serves customers for much longer work hours than any other major banks in Canada.

From the year 2007, most bank branches of the TD Bank Canada Trust remain open between:

  • 8a.m and 6p.m – Monday to Wednesday

  • 8a.m to 8.p.m – Thursdays and Fridays

  • 8a.m to 4p.m – Saturdays

An exception to the abovementioned timings is allowed at branch offices of the TD Bank Canada Trust where there is low traffic. Such branch offices may close early. All branches remain closed on Sundays and on statutory holidays.
