Amex Bank of Canada is the Canadian arm of the American Express Company, New York. It was established in Toronto in 1953 and has its headquarters in Markham, Ontario. The bank is associated with a federal agency, the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC), which aims at insuring all deposits in the chartered banks of Canada.
