Togo is a country in West Africa sharing its borders with Ghana, Benin and Burkina Faso.

The country’s economy is heavily dependent on commercial and subsistence agriculture and is a source of employment to 65% of the country’s population. Almost thirty percent of the exports earnings come from Cocoa, coffee, and cotton. Phosphate mining is the most important activity in the country. According to the World Bank figures, the country’s per capita GNI is US$380.
