Senegal, officially the Republic of Senegal is located south of the Senegal River. In January 1994, the country disembarked on a bold and ambitious economic reform program with the support of the international donor community. Government price controls and subsidies have been steadily done away with.

Annual inflation levels have been brought down to less than 1 percent and the economy is on the path of revival. The country is working towards greater regional integration with a unified external tariff. Private activity in the country accounts for 82% of GDP.
