Saint Kitts & Nevis, officially known as the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis in the Caribbean and the smallest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Although both the islands are geographically within the Leeward Islands, they are relatively close to a number of other islands.
The country was the last sugar monoculture in the Eastern Caribbean. After it became increasingly difficult to keep the sugar industry profitable, the government started diversifying the agricultural sector and promoting the development of other sectors of the economy.
