The Banque d'Algerie or the Central Bank of Algeria was established in the year 1962. From time to time the bank has introduced many steps for the smooth functioning of the bank. Particularly at the time of financial reforms, the bank has largely contributed to the economy.

Through the power of its currency operation as well as exchange rate management, the bank has maintained stability in the economy.
