The card is best-suited for individuals who travel on a regular basis, since it helps to gather discount reward points for flight tickets. According to the Emirates Citi platinum card schedule, 25,000 points can be redeemed for an Emirates economy class return ticket to New Zealand, 45,000 points qualifies you for a return ticket to South East Asia and 95,000 for a return ticket to Europe.

Emirates Citi Platinum Card: Limitations and Exclusions

 

Emirates Citi Platinum Card is subject to the following terms and conditions: 

  • An individual must be over 18 and have a minimum annual income of $50,000 to acquire this card.

  • Only permanent Australian residents are eligible for this card.

  • Only 4 supplementary cards can be acquired with Emirates Citi platinum card, wherein the additional cardholders must be over 16 years of age.

  • An existing Citibank credit cardholder can only apply for the Emirates Citi platinum card if s/he has held the current credit card for at least 9 months.

  • The 4.9% balance transfer rate does not apply to transfer from existing Citibank accounts.

Keep in mind that to acquire and redeem miles on Emirates Citi platinum card purchases, one must be a member of Skywards, the frequent flyer program of Emirates. However, the membership of Skywards is free, subject to certain Skywards terms and conditions.
