Commonwealth Credit Card Payment Online

 

Commonwealth credit card holders are obligated to pay the minimum balance, which is 2% of the closing balance or $25 (whichever is higher), every month before the due date mentioned in the statement. Making Commonwealth credit card payment online is the most convenient alternative to setting up timely monthly-repayments and avoiding late fees and/or account closure.

 

Commonwealth Credit Card Payment Online: Procedure

The online payment for the Commonwealth credit card can be made by setting up the ‘Autopay’ service. This allows one to set up monthly direct debit from a nominated account. For setting up Autopay:
  • Log on to commbank.com.au and select ‘Credit Cards’ from the ‘Personal’ section.
  • Click on ‘Manage your credit card,’ which can be found on the right side of the screen, under ‘About your credit card’.
  • Click on the link ‘Autopay’ under ‘Get the most out of your card.’ Download the direct debit request form from the new window.
 
In the direct debit request from, you will have to furnish the following information:
·        Section 1: Credit card account details, which includes name of principal card holder and credit card number(s).
·        Section 2: Details of the account to be debited, such as name of the bank, account number and BSB.
·        Section 3: Details of automated payment, which can be the minimum monthly payment, closing balance or any other fixed amount.
·        Section 4: Signature-signed by the principal cardholder, along with the date and contact number.
 
The completed form must be posted to the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, at the address mentioned in the form.

 

Commonwealth Credit Card Payment Online with NetBank

Commonwealth credit cardholders can also use the ‘NetBank’ internet banking service for making payments on their cards. To setup NetBank:
  • Log on to commbank.com.au/netbanking and click on ‘Register.’ This can be found at the bottom of the page.
  • In the new window, furnish card details and log on details.
  • On successful completion of the NetBank enrollment procedure, go back to the main page and click on ‘Log on.’
  • Use the client number and password to access the NetBank account and set up Commonwealth credit card online payment(s).
 
Commonwealth credit cards payment online is secured by the ‘CreditCard’ plan, which provides up to $15,000 cover for credit card repayments, if the principal cardholder dies or suffers from a permanent disablement due to an injury or illness.
