Sustainable Agriculture Practice

Sustainable Agriculture Practice mainly emphasize on the issue of sustainable conservation of the environment on a long term basis. The natural resources that are needed to be taken care of for the purpose of sustainable agriculture includes water, its different utilizations, the quality of the same, along with preservation of the wild lives and non renewable energy resources. The other important issues that are required to be taken care of are the prevention or scaling down of the pollution of air and degradation of the quality of soil.

For maintenance of the above environmental ingredients, the Sustainable Agriculture Practice are required to be implemented. But this practice is not confined to the production of crops only. It also includes one another aspect and that is production of animals or livestocks. Hence we can categorize the Agriculture Practice Sustainable into two channels :-
  • Practices related to production of crops
  • Practices related to production of livestocks
Sustainable Agriculture Practice meant for production of crops and livestocks :-
There is no single defined rule in the sustainability of the agricultural practices in the whole world because the conditions of farming change with the change in topographical locations. Again the input availability, pest problems, climatic conditions, and the characteristic features of the soil changes with the geographical positions. But there are certain principles of general characteristic that remain the same in case of Agriculture Practice Sustainable (concerning both crops and livestock production) which are given in the following format :-
  • The crops as well as livestocks that are produced needs to be diversified for increasing the sustainability of the biological conditions of the farm

  • The cultural practices that are involved in the production of the crops as well as livestocks also need to be diversified for the sake of maintaining the sustainable economic conditions of the soil.

  • The quality of the soil needs to be sustained for the long term in Agriculture Practice Sustainable and this could be done through efficiently managing the same.

  • The crops and livestocks that are intended to be produced in the concerned farms are required to be selected in such a way that they are well suited with the geographical and environmental conditions of the concerned farm. This is needed in order of sustainable production of the crops and livestocks.

  • The inputs that are being used in the farming of the crops as well as animals are needed to be selected and used in such a way that they don't harm the environment in any adverse manner.

  • The labors used in the production of crops and livestocks are needed to be compensated in such a way that they don't feel alienated from the process of production.

  • Tone of the most important aspect of Agriculture Practice Sustainable is taking different humane issues related to aims and lifestyle of the farmer and the other workers associated with the farm.
