Canada Agriculture





Canada Agriculture is one of the most prosperous and mechanized agriculture in the world and it is also renowned for its production for various agricultural products. The Prairies area in the Canada Agricultural is also known for its supplies of wheat and other grains.

The main nations to which Canada Agriculture exports are some countries in Europe and Asia and also the United State of America. Like other nations which are known as developing nations or developed nations, the contribution of Canada Agriculture in its nation's Gross Domestic Product is decreasing at a steady pace.

Even though Canada is considered amongst the prosperous countries in the world, only around 5 percent of the total landscape of Canada is suitable for cultivation and it has been observed that most of Canada Agriculture farmers and farms have ceased to exist after the World War II. In spite of that and due to the implementation of new machineries and highly productive seeds the production has increased rather than going down.

Even the Canada Agriculture has prospered to an extent that the country has surplus food and is exporting grains to other countries and is among the top grain exporting countries. According to the statistics only around two percent of the total work force of Canada is involved in cultivation and farming.

Most of the cultivating land in Canada is placed mainly by its souther border by America. A vast portion of cultivating land is places in the Prairie provinces and most of the production is thus from this area. Canada Agriculture is hampered by heavy snowfall and other difficult climate in Canada.

Canada Agriculture has various different areas in the country which has different climate and is thus suitable for various types of crops and grains. The prairie province is famous for the production of wheat, barley, oats and other crops because the long sunny spells and enough precipitation availability. The southwestern part of Ontario is famous in producing soybeans, corns and white beans whereas the souther Ontario and the British Columbia produces a variety of fruits.
