In Tennessee, while some region is covered by mountains some are covered by plains. The west portion of Tennessee produces mainly Cotton and Soybeans. The east portion and middle part of Tennessee dominate in Production of Tobacco.

As a whole, almost 21.7 million acres of land of Tennessee is used for agriculture. Each of Tennessee Farmers produces such huge amount of Agricultural Products that can used to satisfy the food necessity of almost 129 people.

But this was not the case in the past. In the very early years, Tennessee Agriculture was mainly comprised of small farms. But then came the concept of Plantation Agriculture. The main three crops of Tennessee Agriculture are Cotton, Soybean and Tobacco. Production of these crops serve to Tennessee Economy in various ways. This is because Cotton is not only used for making fiber but also for oil production and plastic production. In the same way, Soybeans are not only used for making Soybean oil but also in making of soy ink, paints, cosmetics and medicines. Both the cotton and soybean are used for feeding livestock.

Other than Cotton, Soybean and Tobacco, Tennessee Agriculture also specializes in nursery crops and floriculture. Besides these corn, wheat and vegetables are also grown in the land of Tennessee. The reason behind the rich agricultural produce of Tennessee is its moderate climate. The hot summers and moderate winters of Tennessee is just ideal for growth of agricultural crop.

Moreover, Tennessee Agriculture also gets the support of Advanced Technology that are increasingly being used by the farmers. With every passing day, the farm size and efficiency are increasing in Tennessee Agriculture .
